The work samples included in this section are from my time as Director of Marketing and Communications at the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce (2015-2020). My job there included the following duties:

● I delivered efficient support in attracting media coverage and boosting online presence, resulting in enhancing brand awareness.
● I scheduled, implemented, monitored, and revised entire aspects of communication for the Chamber and Affiliates, ensuring an impeccable flow of information.
● I conducted results-driven actions, such as designing logos/websites while considering Affiliates' requirements that optimized email marketing performance and increased brand affinity.
The content for this video was conceptualized, written, and produced by me for the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce's 2019 Annual Dinner, which featured Matt Higgins from "Shark Tank" as the keynote speaker. I was asked to come up with a creative way to tie in the Chamber's mission to the theme of the dinner that would make the audience laugh.
I also conceptualized, wrote, and produced this video for the Chamber's 150th anniversary, which played in three segments during the Chamber's 150th Anniversary Celebration in 2018. I was asked to present historical content quickly and in an engaging way. This video was inspired by the "60-Second Presidents" series on YouTube and won an Addy Award for video content.
This animation was created as a fun way to introduce new members to Chamber benefits by following a character, Nick, through his own membership journey. I conceptualized, created, animated, and did the audio/video production for this clip. I also performed the voiceover narration.
This animation was created as a way to explain to Chamber members and the general public the complex design of the Chamber, including its affiliate structure., and how it all fits in with its overall mission of attracting, sustaining, and growing business in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This is also another example of my voiceover work.
This is just one example of several animations I created to get businesses to apply for the Chamber's annual SAGE Awards. The SAGE Awards are designed to recognize a wide variety of NEPA-based businesses. This particular series ran in 2018 on the Chamber's various social media platforms. I also did the voiceover and audio production on this clip.
This animation was created as a different way to send holiday greetings to Chamber members versus a traditional card. I also did the voiceover and audio production on this video.
I was asked to create and produce a video showcasing the Chamber's accomplishments over the 2017-2018 fiscal year. I did all graphic work in this video. I also assisted the various speakers with recording their voiceovers, including vocal coaching, and worked on piecing everything together for a cohesive final product.
I was asked to create and produce a video showcasing the Chamber's accomplishments over the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Like the video at left, I did all graphic work in this video and assisted the various speakers with recording their voiceovers, including vocal coaching, and worked on piecing everything together for a cohesive final product. This was the first time I did graphic animation work for a project.
This logo for the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce was in use from the mid-1980s until 2015. I was asked to work with a graphic design firm to create a new logo that would represent the Chamber's direction and appeal to younger business leaders.
This logo incorporates the original Chamber maroon color to represent the Chamber's commitment to its members. Green represents the Chamber's work in economic development, while blue represents its work in leadership development. Finally, the orange represents its work in government affairs.
This edition of the Chamber's membership directory celebrated "The Office," which was set in Scranton. I was responsible for all concepts, layouts, written content, and production. I was also responsible for photography, including taking many member photos.
This edition of the Chamber's membership directory was a play on a social media campaign I created called #TheChamberCanHelp. Again, I was responsible for all concepts, layouts, written content, and production. I was also responsible for photography, including taking many member photos.
This edition of the Chamber's membership directory highlighted the organization's role in Lackawanna County as a way to continue the unveiling of the Chamber's new logo. This edition also contained a special guide to local municipalities.
Momentum is the Chamber's monthly magazine. During my tenure there, I served as its editor-in-chief, and was responsible for content, layout, and editing. This edition serves as a wrap-up to the Chamber's 2019 Annual Dinner as shown above with the "Sharks of Scranton" video.
This edition of Momentum focused on the Chamber's Gala and SAGE Awards. Again, I was responsible for all content, layout, and editing.
The Small Business Spotlight is a monthly feature in Momentum that celebrates the area's independently-owned businesses. This edition also provides an example of the Chamber's modified 150th Anniversary logo on the cover.
In 2016, the Chamber's website underwent a complete makeover. Prior to this revamp, the Chamber was working off of an outdated framework from the 1990s that did not properly integrate the organization's member software. This new design incorporated photography to highlight the local area in an engaging, fun way, while incorporating the Chamber's new logo and direction. It was also built on a responsive framework, allowing users to have the same experience on a desktop, smartphone, or tablet. Analytics were also incorporated into the site to allow us to better serve members. Before I left the Chamber in early 2020, I began another website refresh process, the framework and original intent of which is still evident at www.scrantonchamber.com.
During my time at the Chamber, we hosted Disney's Approach to Business Excellence as part of the Disney Institute (2019). This graphic incorporated the Chamber's branding with a touch of Disney's whimsy, taking inspiration from Minnie Mouse's skirt. This graphic was selected by the Disney Institute as an example of how to properly market one of their programs on social media.
This Facebook page cover photo that I designed for the Chamber's page in 2016 features various storefronts on Scranton's Washington Avenue in the background and highlights the hashtags for both the Chamber and the Small Business Saturday initiative. A white transparent version of the "Shop Small" logo completes the overall look and feel that I wanted to convey.
In 2018, the City of Scranton was selected to host that year's Governor's Awards for the Arts in Pennsylvania. I was named to the event's marketing and communications committee, and was responsible for the social media pages, as well as helping design graphics for partner organizations to share on their social media sites. I also helped finalize program design for the event and send it to press. On the evening of the event, I helped run social media and social media live streams.
