About Me

I am an extremely knowledgeable, dynamic multilingual communications professor respected for more than ten years for leveraging traditional and alternative delivery methods to provide instruction and mentoring in student-centered environments. I have a proven track record using applied industry experience and published research to simulate real-life situations that prepare students for the working world. I am also an out-of-the-box thinker committed to driving student achievement, changing lives, and jump-starting careers.

My academic qualifications include a Doctorate of Strategic Communication at Regent University, along with a Master of Arts in Journalism (Regent University) and a Master of Arts in History (University of Scranton).

My career highlights include the following:

  • I am currently a tenure track assistant professor of Corporate Communication at Penn State Scranton.
  • My dissertation, "Passing the Flame: Place Branding, Destination Marketing, and Ancestral Tourism" received the 2024 Memorial Fellowship award from the Italian American Studies Association.
  • I am known for my strong higher education background, with success teaching courses on digital and social media, effective speaking, intercultural communication, corporate communication, world history, and American government, offering in-class and online instruction at various colleges and universities as an adjunct prior to beginning my role at Penn State Scranton.
  • I received the first place award in the Multicultural division for a debut paper at the 2023 Broadcast Education Association conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was also named a Radio Advertising Bureau Student Scholar for the same conference. I received the same award in 2024.
  • I have published three historical books, receiving the Gold Award in both the Nonfiction Book Awards and the Literary Titan Book Awards.
